no no.. climb a tree and sleep there, sleep together with the monkeys..
I went there last year in a college overnight trip. Even you are having lunch there, the monkeys will just come over and take some your food and eat there. Then, you can take your picture nice n clear, don've to take heavy DSLR around..
But never stare into their eyes for too long, otherwise they'll jump to you, and start scractching. I doesnt enjoy a lot during the last trip i went there, raining day and nite. the plan cannot carry on as usual.

I thought it is open 24-7?
Caveat: The staircases are steep and the unstable low railings are full of guano. Bring along headlights and proper shoes. Venture deep into it for more fun. Watch your steps and don't rush as moss are all over the steps (unless they clean them).

On the way to Bau, you will see unique stone formations.

You can also visit Wind Cave as both are near to each other. Fairy is far more challenging than Wind Cave.

Then to Bau, check out their small temple-turn-roundabout, unique zoo with cave and the infamous lake.

Then drive another 5km to Serikin, an indonesian-kuching border town. lots of stuffs to see and buy.

thanx bytez. It's just outside of Kuching. I thought it'd be somewhere in the middle of a remote mountain range, like the Kelabit Highlands. The name Borneo Highlands sounds kinda misleading. Good for luring foreign tourists though.
