I much prefer a bridge for cars and lorries from Istana to Post Office, Central Padang (not Waterfront). Four lanes or six lanes not a problem I think, those shoplots opposite of the post office can go. (Are they gone yet?). At least no need to rely on Satok bridge which is always jam packed.

No, I am not back to Sarawak yet. I am paving my way now. I am going back in May to sit for my malaysian professional engineer chartership and after that i need to find a job and then invite my wife and my children to come.
A big challenge for me too, I have been away from home (kuching) for 13 years now. Got a property in UK that I need to sell before I can move back. All in all... still quite tough thing to do just to move back to Kuching. if wife and children don't like kuching, my problem even bigger. but i am a qualified chartered engineer in UK and Australia. So, both sides of the world I can go if kuching doesn't work out for us. ps: i have a cousin from Perak, she is an indian/chinese mix, but look exactly like an indian. I told her Kuching is the best place to be. People are so friendly and life is so relax and easy going. So, she requested to work as doctor in SGH. She not only got bullied so badly, but all her chinese colleague been torturing her like mad. Talk bad about her in Mandarin (not knowing she is a half chinese, she can speak and understand mandarin), make her work over three days without break and rest. After one month working at SGH, she suffered depression and she decided to move back to Perak straight away with her family. I felt bad for her. But Sarawak indeed don't have many indian. She looks different maybe. I hope I am still making the right choice to move back end of the year or next.

i wish it could be that way disk but its not.
personal interest will also be involved. for example, the new toll bridges at bako kononnya to ease traffic from city to petra jaya bt also it bring benefit to projects like isthmus and vista tunku. if they build bridge closer to town then no one will use the bako bridge. IMO, i think they are willing to spend a RM20 million for the const of the pedestrian bridge just for the sake of DUN. since the lord white is so proud of it when actually the architecture and design community doesn't give much attention to it like KLCC as they hoped for. i still wonder what happened to that nostalgic pedestrian bridge at satok. they said they wanna fixed it, but they didn't. probably no importance for them to preserve the historical structure. oh well.

Deconnexion is not TM net nor SAINS project, it started by providing free internet for rural area, Now it's paid service to cover the running cost of the free service for rural area.
