OK Guys,

totally out of topic here. Talking about building, what about Masjid Jamek? Maybe you guys havent seen the interior of the Masjid Jamek in Petra Jaya. Well just for some interesting architectural view.

took A330, really comfortable flight, not much pressure to the ear.

Well, for such route KCH-KUL or even BKI-KUL, the A330 of MAS is quite comfortable...be avoid the aircraft for such along route such as to Istanbul or even south Indian destination. The inflight entertainment isnt that good at all. Even worst, you might have to screw up your head, in order to see the large screen show...I hope not. I think it was the leased A330 of MAS. Being return to Swiss already (and further to Vietnam Airlines).

I love both wide-body between KCH-KUL (if ever B747 and B777 being introduced to our route). About the pressure, it is more about the nature of ascending and descending flight path. For B777, the ascending inclination is higher to avoid the sound pollution around the airport. But the descending inclination will be smaller, thus we wont feel much of pressure in our ear.

With our current population, oh yes, all the flights from KIA are definitely fulfill our demands. Imagine, due to increasing oil price, which route that MAS gonna axe from Kuching? There is no space for them to axe any route anymore. Unless MAS is thinking of shrinking themselves to the minimal existence. Unlike our sister to the north, MAS could (and has axed at least one route BKI-MNL) axe so many "unprofitable international route ex-BKI" ....

Apart from it...Osaka-Kota Kinabalu and Tokyo-Kota Kinabalu are as well endangered species here.....

What about Kuching? Cant think of any route that presumebly "unprofit" to MAS ex-KCH....AK might do so...KCH-DPS and KCH-CGK....I am not sure if these two should be categorized as "I NEED HELP" route

That's the Islamic Complex if I'm not wrong, Fuyu; near Swinburne along Ong Tiang Swee, right?

An interesting blend of architecture for the Islamic Complex or something like that: Malay, Chinese and Dayak; unlike the domes and Arabian architecture of similar function buildings (read: Islamic centre or something) in KL.

Maybe not so new. But Air Asia has really closed Kuching as its hub.
Checked the website under route map. Kch is no more a hub for Air Asia.

Well, that's not new but a great sad news.....anyway, as expected though. KCH may not be as interesting as BKI or as exclusive as JHB, but KCH is airport on its own. We have AirAsia service then. Doesnt really matter if AK wants to have KCH as one of their hubs. Well see with BKI once the new T1 opens to public. Will AK still consider BKI as hub or giving it up? But as far as I concern, the sabah goverment has share in AirAsia. I m not sure. Unlike our goverment that truely MAS user. It is ok for me though, if they prefer to choose MAS.

Anyway some pics from KIA from my last visit. I hope it is ok....First time though with Mocha's great help....
