Its some shopping centre, I think its on the way to 7th mile. I'm not sure. But I've seen the layout at some Building Fair at Taman Kereta few months back.

Its a standard shopping mall, looks like travillion on the outside, inside layout is basic. Like Kuching Plaza or Hock Lee. Maybe 5 or 6 stories high? Something like that.

But they say they wanna specialize in IT and electronics only. Its not a bad idea.

The development is called One TJ Shopping Complex, a 4-storey commercial centre, developed by KenBest Sdn Bhd. It offers 80 strata titled units ranging from RM270,000 per unit for the uppermost floor to RM550,000 per unit for the ground floor.

It's located next to the Heights Drive Commercial Centre at the new Jalan Stutong link road.

Modern-design shopping complex targets e-generation, set to bring new era of shopping experience

KUCHING: OneTJ is set to bring in a new era of shopping experience with its focus on information, communications and technology. The modern-design shopping complex is dedicated to bring ICT products and services to the State, targeting the e-generation.

It will be the one and only onestop ICT-based shopping centre in the State.

“OneTJ will be Sarawak’s largest one-stop ICT hub. Levels Two and Three of the four-storey building will be like an everyday PC Fair, and it will be a ‘brand name’ for people to buy handphones and computers.

“We have many investors coming in, including those from Sabah and Kuala Lumpur. Level One also has computers and handphone shops, and other businesses like optical and clothing shops,” said developer Kenbest Sdn Bhd’s managing director, Stephen Long.

He said Level Four of the building will have an international food court and bookstores.

The complex consists of 80 strata with 20 units equally distributed on each floor.

The building’s specification includes floor-to-floor height of 15 feet, 24-hour close-circuit television (CCTV), six sets of escalators and three lifts, individual toilets to each unit, see-through motorised roller shutter to each shop and the very first kind of spider glass in Sarawak.

“We also place an air-conditioner in each unit besides the central airconditioner. “The building is designed with two metres of footpath surrounding the structure for shoppers’ convenience.

“The concourse on the ground is 23 feet wide, which is designed as a promotional area. Smaller booths can be easily set up in this area for any promotional activities or events,” Long added.

OneTJ sits at the new gateway to Kuching by the proposed new Kuching International Airport (KIA)-Stutong Link Road.

It is strategically located at the southern growth corridor of the city, the fastest growing new suburban centre surrounded by residential estates like Tabuan Jaya Baru I and II, Heights Drive, Heights Estate, Exco Ville, Woodlands, Centurion and many more homes at BDC and Tabuan Jaya in its vicinity.

The new Stutong community market is just nearby. The complex is also linked to KIA and Kota Samarahan Expressway leading to Samarahan.

Samajaya free industrial zone is literally down the road.

Another feature is the soon-to-be completed 18-hole golf course and clubhouse of the Sarawak Club Resort Branch.

“We will be providing free shuttle bus service for students from Unimas, UiTM to OneTJ,” said Long.
