Star Movie Carnival

I went to the last day of Star Movie Carnival and would like to conclude that the event was a disaster. The movie carnival was hosted at the amphi-theater near to Civic Center.

I was hoping to catch Simpsons the movie and Die Hard 4.0. We took dinner at around 6pm and reached the place earlier to grab some better free seating. The entrance ticket was priced at RM15.00 but I got a complementary one. Thanks to my friend, Sam.

Violin, Viola & Piano Recital

I was given two complimentary tickets for the Violin Viola and Piano Recital which was held at the Tourism Complex. Thanks to Brian Lee for that.

Karen Wong and Brian Lee himself were the two performers for the night. Karen on the piano and Brian on the string instruments mainly the violin and viola. I didn't know the difference between those two until Brian explained. If you compare those two, the viola is slightly bigger than the violin, thats all.

There were French people there too. It was so packed that some people has to experience the fashion show by looking through the window.
Ramadan Bazaar - feast for all five senses

By Georgette Tan
article from Borneo Post [Sept 27]

KUCHING: Smoke wafts over the street as people push their way through clusters of stalled human traffic, clutching plastic bags.

The cacophony of colours, smells and textures is every whichever way you turn. Friendly faces above pristine white aprons meet your glance, their eyes hopeful, and utensils ready for action. Above the constant hum of voices, someone is yelling something in the rapid fire staccato of a seasonsed market trader. It is noisy and hot with no sign of relief, at least not till the early evening. It is the Ramadan bazaar at Satok and it is glorious.
