Violin, Viola & Piano Recital
I was given two complimentary tickets for the Violin Viola and Piano Recital which was held at the Tourism Complex. Thanks to Brian Lee for that.

Karen Wong and Brian Lee himself were the two performers for the night. Karen on the piano and Brian on the string instruments mainly the violin and viola. I didn't know the difference between those two until Brian explained. If you compare those two, the viola is slightly bigger than the violin, thats all.

The programme started with a classical piece by Czibulka entitled Stephanie Gavotte. It was a very nice piece which it sounded abit familiar. Then it was followed by James Brooke Fantasia, a song composed by one of Brian Lee's student, Wiilliam Chong. The performance was a premiere for that particular piece.

There was another classical piece that I never heard of. I love the tune of it and glad I managed to record a short clip during the performance. The song is entitled "Song of Festive Catch arr. She Suk Hui. I don't understand what that means. Love the song though.

One of the last interesting piece was a song composed by John Willliams entitled "Theme from Schindler's List". Brian Lee was playing the song, coincidentally some of the crowd started coughing and it created a heart-wrenching atmosphere. All of a sudden it feels like you're among the crowd of World War Two survivors. Just my imagination. You'll understand when you listen to that song.

Anyway, it was a very good stage performance by Brian Lee and Karen Wong. The theater was packed with audience. I am glad I didn't miss it. Thanks again to Brian Lee for the complimentary tickets.
